Breakfast: Eggs In a Nest, Fun Meal made with Eggs and Shredded Squash

Egg in a nest

Eggs in a nest, eggs in a basket- either way these are a very fun meal! I think they look just like birds’ nests! I used butternut squash for my nests, which makes them a fun bright yellow-orange color and is a fantastic way to get vegetables and a good protein source (the eggs) into your morning meal!

Eggs In a Nest Recipe

Serves 3

1 pound butternut squash, grated
2 tablespoons organic butter, ghee, or coconut oil (Buy Butter or Coconut Oil here)
1/2 teaspoon salt (Buy Sea Salt here)
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
3 eggs

Equipment for Eggs in a Nest

A frying pan with a lid
Thin metal spatula to sauté the squash with and to use to remove the finished nests from the pan

Eggs in a Nest Instructions

In your frying pan melt your fat (butter, ghee, or coconut oil) over medium heat until melted.  Add the shredded squash and salt and sauté until cooked through and starting to brown, 10 minutes.

Form the squash into three nests, using your spatula to round out a hole for the egg in the middle.

Crack one egg into each nest, sprinkle with freshly ground pepper, and cover the frying pan with a lid.  Allow to cook until the yolk is set but the egg is still runny (or however you prefer), approximately 5 minutes.

Using a spatula, slide onto a plate and enjoy!

  12. Thanks for your posting. My partner and i have often seen that a lot of people are needing to lose weight simply because they wish to look slim plus attractive. On the other hand, they do not continually realize that there are many benefits for you to losing weight additionally. Doctors insist that overweight people come across a variety of disorders that can be instantly attributed to their own excess weight. Fortunately that people that are overweight and suffering from diverse diseases can help to eliminate the severity of the illnesses by means of losing weight. It is possible to see a constant but identifiable improvement with health while even a slight amount of weight loss is obtained.

One thing I would like to discuss is that fat burning plan fast can be carried out by the appropriate diet and exercise. Ones size not just affects the look, but also the quality of life. Self-esteem, depressive disorders, health risks, as well as physical abilities are influenced in weight gain. It is possible to do everything right and still gain. In such a circumstance, a medical problem may be the root cause. While a lot food and never enough workout are usually the culprit, common health conditions and traditionally used prescriptions might greatly add to size. Thx for your post right here.

I discovered more something totally new on this weight-loss issue. One particular issue is that good nutrition is especially vital while dieting. An enormous reduction in fast foods, sugary foods, fried foods, sweet foods, pork, and white flour products could be necessary. Retaining wastes parasites, and harmful toxins may prevent objectives for losing belly fat. While specified drugs briefly solve the matter, the awful side effects are certainly not worth it, and they never present more than a short-lived solution. It is just a known proven fact that 95% of fad diet plans fail. Many thanks for sharing your thinking on this website.

Thanks for the recommendations shared on your own blog. Something also important I would like to convey is that weight-loss is not all about going on a celebrity diet and trying to get rid of as much weight as you’re able in a few months. The most effective way to burn fat is by consuming it bit by bit and obeying some basic tips which can provide help to make the most out of your attempt to lose weight. You may recognize and already be following some of these tips, yet reinforcing understanding never does any damage.

I believe that avoiding highly processed foods is a first step so that you can lose weight. They may taste fine, but prepared foods have got very little vitamins and minerals, making you take in more just to have enough strength to get through the day. Should you be constantly eating these foods, changing to whole grain products and other complex carbohydrates will aid you to have more vitality while having less. Interesting blog post.
