Which of these do you use in your salve: I use the raw virgin gold label in smoothies and wherever I’m going to eat it raw, and the expellar pressed when it’s going to be cooked?

I've also heard of people using coconut oil with the oil-cleansing method as a facial cleanser & moisturizer, as well as to make home-made deodorant, do you know which version would be better for skin with these uses?

Lastly: does the coconut oil leave any coconut taste when its cooked? I love coconut but my hubby doesn't -- so I'm curious if my scrambled eggs would taste coconut-y if I used this for cooking, lol!

I'm dying to try out the coconut oil once I run out of my current supplies!

The first question that's generally asked is whether or not coconut oil is harmless to use. Manufacturers of other oils have long attempted to smear coconut oil as a bad oil due to the fact it's largely made up of saturated fats. Aren't those the poor fats? In many cases they are, but in the case of coconut oil their makeup is extremely several from many other oils. Coconut oil is primarily comprised of medium chain fatty acids which can be wholesome. Most other saturated fats can't say this. The stability saturated fats helps make sure that coconut oil will not break down into trans fatty acids and free radicals when exposed to higher heat.
