Oysters?

Gulf oysters

Laughter is good for the whole family. Laughing is especially easy when you have a young child.. Jokes such as “What did the Mama Gulf oyster say to the child Gulf oyster? Johnny, eat your spinich so you can grow up to make big pearls like Daddy!” are totally cheesy, but hilarious to a pre-schooler. Any interacting with laughter that you do with your child strengthens your bond together.

On another bonding note, my dad, brother, and occasionally cousin would get together for ‘male bonding’ around the barbique and slather barely-cooked oysters with loads of butter and then slide them down their throats. Of all the male-bonding activities that can happen, in my opinion that is one of the least harmful, but still, there are some precautions that should be taken with making sure that Gulf oysters are safe to eat, such as cooking throughly. I’ll have to bring that up next time I see the bag of oysters on the half shell come out.
